Outdoor Living for Your Home (Glass Rooms, Bioclimatic Pergolas, Verandas & more)
What are you looking to improve?
Improve My Garden
Pergolas, glass rooms, verandas and awnings that turn the outside into somewhere you actually use: dining, lounging, hot tub evenings, all-year garden rooms.
Less suitable when the goal is doors, windows or structural glazing on the house itself.
SEE YOUR THREE ROUTESImprove My Home
Azure is an aluminium and glazing specialist as much as an outdoor-living one: sliding and bifold doors, aluminium windows and crittall-style screens for renovations, extensions and new builds, with the same survey, CAD and installation rigour applied to the house.
Less suitable when the project is a freestanding garden structure.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROJECTAzure designs and installs premium outdoor living spaces for homeowners across East Anglia, and travels UK-wide for premium and complex work. Whether you want to cover the patio, use the garden all year, or add a proper outdoor room, we'll guide you to the right solution: honestly, including when the answer is a simpler, more affordable route.
People don't buy a pergola. They buy confidence it'll be done right. That's what the laser surveys, CAD drawings and factory-cut precision are for.
Outdoor living: three honest routes
Three Routes to Your Outdoor Living Space
We'd rather point you at the honest option than sell you the wrong one, it's how we work in the showroom, and it's how this page works too.
Looking for doors, windows or glazing on the house instead? Improving your home is a different path: tell us about your project and we'll take it from there.

Where We Work
East Anglia is home, but we work UK-wide, from the Channel Islands to Scotland and plenty in between. Here's a sample of recent projects, with the case studies to prove it.
Norfolk & East Anglia
Our base is Dereham. Most weeks start and finish here, from glass rooms and louvred pergolas to frameless doors.
London
Rooftops, terraces and townhouse gardens, including the Lanesborough Hotel and slim sliding-door installs across the city.
Essex
Garden rooms and bioclimatic pergolas on Essex plots, including a Lusso build with space to breathe.
Surrey, Berkshire & Bucks
Glass extensions, glass rooms and bespoke pergolas across the Home Counties, from Surrey to Buckinghamshire.
The Midlands
Glass rooms built for Midlands gardens, from Derbyshire to Northamptonshire.
South West
Down to Somerset and the South West for monoslide glass rooms that open the whole wall.
The North & Scotland
Yorkshire, Lancashire, the Wirral and up into the Scottish Borders, including a glass carport in Roxburghshire.
Channel Islands
Guernsey and Jersey by arrangement, we handle export, island invoicing and freight. Projects typically start from around £30,000.
Hotels, cafés and hospitality spaces need the same honest survey and the same weatherproof engineering. The Lanesborough Hotel and OB Café are two we're proud of.

The Azure Method
Why the Complex Jobs Come to Us
Slopes, trees, rooftops, awkward levels, this is the process that makes them routine.
- 1
Tell us what you're trying to achieve
A conversation, not a sales pitch, by phone, at the showroom, or through the recommendation tool above. We'll tell you honestly which route fits, including when the cheaper one is enough.
- 2
Laser site survey
A rotating laser level plots every level across your patio; a laser measure traces openings, obstacles and falls. No guesswork, no "we'll sort it on the day".
- 3
CAD drawings & renders
Your space, drawn properly, and a render made from your own photo, so you see the finished result before anything is ordered.
- 4
Factory-cut precision
Components are cut to your exact dimensions at the factory (that leg 2.1m, that leg 2.0m) because your patio isn't perfectly level, and cutting legs down on site is what other people do.
- 5
Installed by our own specialist teams
The same experienced teams who install our most technically demanding projects carry out every installation. From pergolas built around mature trees to complex rooftop structures and sloping gardens, they deliver the precision and attention to detail that sets Azure apart.

What Our Customers Say
"After speaking to Kevin we ended up going with the Black Crittall French doors and black crittall look side hung window in our kitchen, both of these products are now our key feature, one of the best decisions we made on our project, we absolutely love them."
Matt Nixon · Google Review
"A great company. Survey by Kevin was very thorough, and he was extremely patient and knowledgeable. The timing of everything was as specified and the work was completed to a very high standard by a courteous, considerate and competent team. Absolutely delighted with our new garden room. I have already recommended Azure to friends."
L T · Google Review
"Would like to say how delighted we are with our new sunroom. Azure are a great company and we would recommend them without any hesitation. The guys who built it were very professional, friendly and competent. The sunroom is solid, the finish is so smart and it has made a massive difference to our house. Fantastic all round. Well done Azure and thank you all."

Fitting a Kit Yourself?
Genuinely fine for set-size kits, thousands of people do it. The tips that matter: prepare the base properly (a pergola is only as good as what it's bolted to), check your levels twice (patios are rarely flat), respect the wind rating, and allow two people and a full day. Our Gozo Living range is designed exactly for this route: set sizes, quality imports, sensible money.
GET A RECOMMENDATIONOr Designed, Engineered and Installed?
Where a kit can't help: sloping patios, awkward levels, building around trees, rooftop terraces, attaching to the house, or simply a space no set size fits. That's what the rotating-laser surveys, CAD drawings, 3D renders and factory-cut components are for: components cut to your millimetres, installed by our own teams, guaranteed. You trade money for time, safety and certainty, and it's done once, properly.

Got Questions?
Don't worry about the name, the terms overlap and people use them loosely. Most describe the same idea: a frame with a roof over your patio. What really differs is the roof. Ours come three ways: rotating louvres that tilt from open to closed at the turn of a switch (what people usually mean by a bioclimatic or louvred-roof pergola), a retractable louvred roof that slides fully away, or a retractable waterproof fabric roof. Tell us what you want to achieve and we'll name the right product for your space, which is exactly what the recommendation tool above is for.
Many pergolas fall within permitted development limits, but height, placement, listed status, conservation areas and attachment to the property can all change the position, and glass rooms and verandas attached to the house have their own rules. We flag likely considerations at survey stage for every project, and where permission looks necessary we tell you before you spend a penny. Your local planning authority remains the definitive source.
Because a £3k pergola and a £15k pergola are different products wearing the same name. We'll always give you a from-and-to based on your size and spec, and if a simpler route does the job, we'll say so. Ready-to-install starts around £1k–£5k (Gozo Living); professionally installed pergolas roughly £5k–£12k; fully bespoke from £12k.
Survey to installation typically runs a few weeks depending on product and season, bespoke fabrication is made to your measurements, not pulled off a shelf. We'll give honest lead times when we quote, and our own teams install: most residential projects are fitted in days.
Yes, honestly. Our Gozo Living range covers set-size pergolas and garden pods at £1k–£5k, delivered and optionally installed. We'd rather guide you to the right thing than upsell you the wrong one; plenty of bespoke customers started as Gozo customers.
We're based in Dereham, Norfolk, and East Anglia is home, but we install right across the UK, from ready-to-install pergolas to fully bespoke builds. Recent projects run from Essex to Scotland. Tell us where you are and we'll be straight about it.
Yes. A glass pergola pairs an aluminium pergola frame with a glass roof, and often glass sides, the light and shelter of a glass room with the clean lines of a pergola. Our Cubo and Prime glass rooms and the retractable sunroom all sit in this space. Which is right for you depends on how much of the year you want to use it and whether you want the roof to open; we'll talk you through the honest trade-offs at survey.
Regularly. Recent London projects include the Lanesborough Hotel, Hyline HY40 slim sliding doors and a retractable roof in East London; in Essex we built a Lusso bioclimatic pergola with room to breathe. East Anglia is home, but London and Essex are well-travelled ground for us. Tell us your postcode and we'll be straight about coverage and access.
Yes, we completed a luxury glazing project in Guernsey, handling the export paperwork, VAT-free island invoicing and freight from Portsmouth alongside our island partners. We quote for both Guernsey and Jersey; given the logistics, island projects typically start from around £30,000.
Yes, it's rather our speciality. Laser surveys, CAD drawings and factory-cut components mean slopes, steps, trees and rooftops are engineering questions, not problems. Ask to see the Essex pergola built around a living tree.
Yes, and directly with homeowners too. On new builds and larger renovations we work from the architect's drawings, integrate the glazing or structure into the design, handle the survey and CAD ourselves, and coordinate with the main contractor and other trades on site. However the project reaches us, the survey, engineering and installation are the same.
A well-designed, professionally installed outdoor living space extends your usable living area, and outdoor rooms are commonly promoted as features when homes are sold. What definitely doesn't add value: a badly fitted kit fighting a sloping patio. If resale matters, invest in the design and the installation quality, not just the structure.
The ones we're called in to fix: bolting to an unprepared or un-level base, ignoring the wind rating for an exposed garden, cutting legs down on site because the patio falls away, positioning that blocks light or breaches permitted development height, and buying a size that almost fits. Every one of them is avoidable with a proper survey, which is why ours starts with a rotating laser, not a tape measure.
In our experience: frame gauge and louvre profile (full box-section louvres are typically more rigid and quieter in rain than semi-skin profiles), motor and warranty terms, wind rating, powder-coat quality, and the installation, which matters as much as the product. We work with these systems every week and will tell you straight which is best for your space and budget, including when the cheaper one is enough.
